Kirby's next Wii adventure will ditch the yarn

Nintendo's latest financial report has come with a gooey pink (and unfortunately, very blurry) surprise. Amidst its list of upcoming games, the Big N also revealed the first clip of a new Kirby adventure from Hal Laboratory with zero strings attached.

35 seconds is not a lot to work with, but as the clip shows, Kirby will be returning to his traditional look, albeit with some fancy sword action and arguably more powerful abilities added to the 2D mix.

Little else is mentioned of the game except a smattering of Japanese text which, when horribly mangled by Google's transcription service, reads, “for this story turns into Kirby's new smoking vomiting stationary game machines, Imashi to keep you waiting very long or.”

Vomiting stationary game machines!? Oh, think of everything.

Beast looking Wii game. And yes it will be a Wii game. It seems as though Kirby will implement some sort of "final-smash" with each of his abilities...

@xtremejosh If there's one thing I know about video games, it's that you shouldn't over-hype them. Especially when all you have to look at for the game in question is one 35 second trailer. I'd suggest waiting until we get more info at E3 or something before we start hyping it up.

It looks like it will be the best Kirby game ever.

Kirby is a demented, evil, pink blob. Looks pretty cool, though.

  • icedoesnthelp - January 28, 2011 7:44 p.m.

@theamazingmrpotato sorry, no. Near the 4/5 second mark you can see a wii remote telling you what button to press.

Makes sense, Epic Yarn wasn't originally even a Kirby game. I am excited for the vomiting stationary game machines.
  • EvilChicken - January 28, 2011 7:29 p.m.

One thing I always did not like about Kriby games, they were always way to short, but fun
  • therawski - January 28, 2011 7:29 p.m.

Yarn was a refreshing and laid back game, fortunately it was just an appetizer to this main course! (several puns intended)
  • shawksta - January 28, 2011 7:28 p.m.

GOD I hope Dark Matter Returns, Those Bastards deserve to be beaten again after Raping our childhoods in Kirby's Dreamleand 3, and Kirby 64:Crystal Shards
