    I remember the saturn reveal in 95. A friend of mine got one a few weeks later. It was cool but then no games for a long time. Wow I was 17 the year of the first E3. I remember reading about it in EGM and Diehard gamefan. Ahh the days before the internet. No videos. Only fuzzy pictures in a magazine. How did we do it?

    1995!? DAMN, the last E3 most people would remember was back in 2004/2005 This is gonna be a long article, im saving it for later tonight

    Heh, yeah, I mean, I WAS vaguely aware of E3's existence as far back as 1996, but it never really register to me as such a big deal until 2005, which is the first E3 I remember watching all the way trough, me and my brother being blown away by the impressive PS3 reveal, only to be massively disappointed a year later with the next E3. It's funny, I think that 2005 was the last year in which I was a starry eyed, hopeful, Irony-free gamer that despite being disappointed by the GameCube and Nintendo overall, still was willing to trust what companies said without much reservation... And look at me now, probably one of the biggest cynics in this site when it comes to pretty much anything. I was genuinely EXCITED by E3 2005 and 2006, and now, more than excited for this E3, I feel apprehensive and afraid for gaming's future >>;

    so, first two e3s were 2005 --> 2006, leaving you a gaming media cynic. that's some character-defining / childhood-trauma / the-night-gwen-stacy-died arc if i ever saw one.

    E3 if anything was all about the Hype and then worry about the problems later till the problems were AT E3. But finding hype was the best thing about it and finding a reason to get hype whether on expected reveals or unexpected Surprises. Eh, i dont blame you, your skeptism is all justified. This E3 should be nothing but Hype, all 3 have nothing to do but to push their consoles to be bought and usher out the games. And while there probably will be THOSE moments, ITS E3 BABY OUR BODIES ARE EXPECTING NOTHING BUT MOMENTS, BEST AND WORSE

    was surprised by the starting year too, my birth year alot of junk went down including apparently the legend of the cupacabra, 1995

    Well something tells me that this will be an E3 to remember as either really good or really bad, not sure which yet.

    soooo many pages....But I do like the article, although I wish this article also showed which E3 was the debut of Bioshock. I still remember watching that first trailer, that was one of the best trailers I have ever seen.

    o.O Holy crap! this is gonna be one hell of an article, and an even better gaming history lesson! To be honest, i don't remember that much from most E3 events before 2005, specially because as a teen living in Mexico, the coverage regarding gaming or even streaming the events wasn't really a thing yet. So I'll definitely be looking forward to reading all the nuggets of info in this article ^^ And so, we'll be even more than ready to put all of the companies making a presence on this E3 up to task *nods nods*
