A new teaser for Gears of War 3 puts the emphasis firmly on the sequel's multiplayer Horde 2.0 mode, which has seen substantial improvements since the second game for a more strategic approach to the kill-everything-that-moves formula. The video, which delves deeper into gameplay specifics, will give true Gears fans a good idea what to expect.
In addition to new components that add some tower defense elements to the flow of Horde 2.0, expect a currency system for purchasing and maintaining said elements, like barriers and gun turrets. This, in turn, gives rise to bonus rounds with time-limited opportunities for extra cash, and a trade system for swapping items and cash, RE5-style. Layered in with all that are kill-centric additions like the Silverback battlemech, just so you know Epic hasn't forgotten why you're into this whole thing in the first place. What do you think of the new elements?
