    Hello chaps! I was reading more about The Last of Us and it reminded me about the criticisms Uncharted 3 recieved about its linearity. It seems "linear" has become a dirty word lately. Do you guys think linearity is an out-dated game concept? should every game try to provide more open experiences? Personally, I'm perefectly fine with it in most cases (especially story-driven games) won't really be complaining if The Last of Us is just as linear (but just as good!) as Drake's adventures. P.S. I also wouldnt complain if the podcast had a guest appearence from a certain Jurrassic Park obsessed Scotsman. Just sayin. Kisses all round XXX :)

    Aye, Jurrassic Purke. Och aye haldenoo Jimmy. Where is Mr Meeks?

    What Game Developer would be a good fit for when Quentin Tarantino decides to make a game? Grasshopper? Volition?

    Hello GamesradarUK, and my question is in regard to the recent 3DS XL announcement. Do you think it will be worth trading in your original 3DS and paying an extra £50-100 to get this one. Did any of you have or ever use a DS XL, and so overall is it worth the transition? Love you lots, a virtual hug and kiss for all.

    Hello again fellow UK editors! And thanks for opening this question box here! For some reason, I was too lazy to bother sending an e-mail in past episodes, but I have much less of a problem with posting in here... Anyway, being a fairly recent proprietor of a 3DS. (Got it just this last Monday.) I feel slightly cheated by Nintendo due to the fact that not two weeks ago, Miyamoto firmly stated that there were no plans of releasing any new "updates" to the 3DS hardware, and that the current hardware was fine as it was. Which is why I ended up buying one, and then we just find out that there WILL be a new update for it... Thankfully, I wasn't particularly interested in just having bigger screens, but still, this does raise for me some doubt as to how much Nintendo can be trusted, and makes me afraid that a bigger sort of update could be done in the future, screwing over anyone that was foolish enough to think they had spoken the truth 2 weeks ago. So how do you guys feel about this? Do you think this was a right move for Nintendo to make? And why do you think developers or companies state something as a fact, only to show evidence on the contrary soon after? Thanks in advance! and a big manly hug for each and everyone of you! (No kisses, I'm homophobic like that, hur hur. Or maybe it's just that I don't trust that Cundy won't try something worse...)

    When you say 'fellow UK editors' does that mean that you yourself are an editor that is based in the UK? I don't mean to pry, but I am a nosy bastard.
  • BladedFalcon - June 22, 2012 7:41 a.m.

    No, that was me blundering and showing off my still clumsy grasp of English, my apologies ^^; That's what happens when you're a Mexican that learned most of his English trough videogames and movies, without taking actual classes >>; What I meant was for along the lines of "esteemed UK editors" because I sometimes associate "fellow" as an amicable word. And i forgot it's also used to mean co-workers. So yeah, totally my bad, and I apologize for any confusion that might have caused ^^;
  • Matt Cundy - June 22, 2012 8:08 a.m.

    No problem. No need to apologise. Thanks for the manly hugs.

    Also, I just wanted to clarify that my question was regarding hardware facts, or things that could influence a potential buyer's decision. I perfectly understand when a developer flat out lies about making anew title, only to reveal it later as a Megaton, because that's the hook, it's meant to be a surprise, that I perfectly understand. But to me, it just feels manipulative when a company says a fact about hardware you could be interested about that it's just a flat out lie. Isn't that betraying a buyer's trust? Or maybe it's too naive for me thinking that?

    Also, I'd like to second the love for the Timesplitters 4 facebook campaign :)

    Greetings great warriors of Radar! I was wondering, why do you guys think so many developers are attempting to create MMOs? With long development cycles, high development costs and often high rates of customer drop-out (SWTOR for example), isn't the MMO genre one of most risky spaces to try and compete in? How on earth do companies expect to make a return? (38 Studios comes to mind) Many see F2P as the answer, but I reckon MMO titles are competing as much for people's time as they are for their money.

    Dearest GR UK guys, A Civ V: Gods and Kings review would be most welcome if anyone's had a look at it. Otherwise, after a rather flat and disappointing E3 and games now piling into a release next spring rather than the traditional Christmas November rush, where do you think that the gaming industry is shifting to? Is this indicative of a more vibrant and exciting independent and B-class gaming scene or more that gaming's generally going down the toilet? Again, hugs and a cheeky buttgrab for Cundy ^_^

    With rumours abound of Final Fantasy VII being re-released on the PC, do you think it's: a) something you're willing to buy and play again despite it being 15 years old? b) a self-defeating idea that will only lead to more predictable clambering for a complete remake with PS3 (or PS4?) graphics? c) a genuine prerequisite for a complete remake that shows Square haven't completely disregarded the mass popularity and legacy of the game? I'm still trying to work out Squares motives for it really...

Also, does my vita have any other uses apart from a paper-weight, where the bloody hell are all the games??? Love and kisses, none for Cundy, I'm not that kind of man, Giles

    Hello gentlemen, how are we? A couple of quickies regarding Nintendo : Are you able to use old Wiimotes on the Wii U or is it just motion plus ones? What was the guys who went to play on the Wii U favourite game on show? And finally, how retarded are Nintendo for not including a charger with the new 3DS XL? Cheers lads keep up the spiffing work. XXXX :-)

    How many times did Cundy need the tissue box coming up with all these innuendos? Also, captcha: Christian and Hopefultocome Thrast. Wtf? Captcha is becoming Cundy.

    Hello Men of GRUK, Nintendo recently talked about their plans for a new 3ds Zelda, they said it would either be a remake of Majoras mask, a remake of A link to the past, or a link to the past sequal, personally I'd like to see something that carries on the art style of Skyward Sword, I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter, Kelshaw 1996. xxxx
