Is there really no one else that is excited for Blitz? Or is it that the peoples in these comments are not of age to know of the old school Blitz games. Very sad indeed. The game is going to be amazing.

I was excited for Blitz...until I realized I still have the N64 version. I might give it a chance if there are some HUGE improvements...but, in all honesty, the N64 one is perfect for me and I have it emulated on my computer...so I really don't care to buy it again.

Safe to say that Final Fantasy 13-2 is the going to be the Game of the Month...however, I think Soulcaliber is not too far away.

FF13 was hit and miss for almost everybody. You either loved it or you hated it...there wasn't really a middle ground. I loved it, the linearity cut out most of the bullshit and stuck with the main story and relying on the AI kept me on my toes to switch paradigms as quickly as I could plus gave me motivation to keep my characters strong rather than just focus on one person. I also like how they got rid of the purely turn based system too. Even though it was less control, things went by a lot faster.

^agreed, Nintendo doesn't have much going for them right now except for remakes of great, older games for the 3DS (LoZ: OoT, Starfox), or updating older, great games for the 3DS and Wii (Skyward Sword). Other than that...the only thing I'm a little bit interested in is the Wii U.

Thinking about Gotham city imposters, otherwise Final Fantasy 13 2 is obviously big, but lets see whats gonna happen, oh and Neverdead.
  • shawksta - January 2, 2012 6:52 p.m.

Actually, we still got Xenoblade to come in the US(God knows if the others will make it), Rhythme heaven Fever(A greatly unique game who people forget Nintendo Owns), and its a long shot, but we still got Mario Party 9, which can possibly Suprise us since 8 was in the beginning of the wii and 9 in the end, there's too many party games on the wii that Nintendo needs to step it up to make 9 even worth mentioning. They did the same with Galaxy and Skyward, hopefully they'll do it here too. Obviously non will make it as big as Skyward Sword(Except maybe Xenoblade) but they wont be ignored either.

    So its all crap...

Silent Hill HD collection.. Konami is aiming for nostalgic sentimental, I know since I purchased MGS HD collection in Nov and currently seeing naked Raiden, all with his glorious nut grab, doing cartwheel. Ah, it takes me back... Soul Calibur V is more... polite, no? More clothed, less cleavage and silicon. FF XIII-2, I'm expecting it, but again it has shounen protag #143 otherwise known as Noel (not Vermillion, that'd be fine) replacing Lightning as main protag, it's Raiden-Snake all over again. How could they do that, to Lightning who's arguably the consensus agreed as the best thing that came out XIII despite all the complaints (just go along). They even strip Lightning a la X-2, because that's what everyone (fans and haters) want to see in a sequel. Amazing! Here's to Lightning spin-off in 2013, FF [ReDreaMagination] XIII-III. Viva La Squeenix!

Er... That's debatable. linearity made things simpler, but it doesn't cut the bullshit if if makes you go trough hour long dungeons that are a straight line and have no story in between. it's just filler, and it's arguably even more boring filler because it's just a straight line, only, a VERY LONG straight line. And the combat system is not faster than FFXII's.

There's 32 NFL teams. That being said I can't wait for Blitz. I still have a N64 and the original
  • minimaxi - January 3, 2012 10:26 a.m.

FF XIII-3: Dream Dreamer Aurora Crustacea Potassium
  • BladedFalcon - January 3, 2012 11:47 a.m.

Well, regarding Xenoblade, it has already been released in Japan. So it's more of a delayed release here than an actual new game. Though I suppose it still counts as something to look forward to. Rhythm Heaven fever looks pretty fun, but it's far from being something big and probably not very noticed on the west. As for Mario Party 9... Meh, let's be honest, that's a zombie horse that still keeps getting beaten to death. Sure, it might be decent, but nothing truly great nor revolutionary, since really, no Mario Party has ever been that great to begin with.
  • Helios - January 3, 2012 11:48 a.m.

Got FFXIII-2 Collector's Edition pre-ordered. Now I just have to wait. Other than that, the only other releases this month that look interesting to me are the Silent Hill HD Collection and Soulcalibur V.

Butthurt Xbox fan mad he has to pay 70 dollars a year for no games and ads
  • LegendofZenda - January 3, 2012 1:51 p.m.

Butthurt idiot doesn't realize that most smart people pay about 30. (You just call them to cancel and they give you a year for $30) Why I bet you have spent $60 on a game that you have finished in about 4-6 hours and never touched again! :D
  • talleyXIV - January 3, 2012 5:27 p.m.

    Weak month, eh?
  • GhostNappa2k10 - January 4, 2012 4:49 a.m.

Have you even PLAYED Gotham City Imposters?! It's on par with Team Fortress 2 when it comes to quality in a multiplayer game!
  • GhostNappa2k10 - January 4, 2012 4:53 a.m.

I don't understand: why with the fanboy comments? Not that I like the PS3 (I hate it, personal choice) but what's the point with a fanboy comment on an article that's just general info on game releases?
  • TheZigMan - January 4, 2012 12:44 p.m.

Its a copy of Team fortress 2. Not interested
  • Mamudo - January 6, 2012 11:40 a.m.

I'll be getting Soul Calibur V day one.
