From Aerosmith to ZZ Top, it's the final setlist for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock

If you and your friends were so sick and tired of the lack of Twisted Sister in music games that you started shouting, "we're not gonna take it," your long stretch of agony is over. The classic rebel rock shoutalong, along with more than 90 others, were revealed today as part of the complete on-disc track list for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.

It won't be the most tracks on-disc for a music game ever, as Rock Band 2 came pre-loaded with more than 100 songs. However, with well over 50 tracks exclusive to Warriors of Rock, there's definitely something for any rock music geeks to like in this installment.

Above: There will be fat pig-snouted heavy metal guitarists in Warriors of Rock, but no Miley Cyrus. That’s the way it should be

Those who were highly turned off by the slant to tweeny pop songs in Band Hero - which made most Guitar Hero fans sick to their stomachs - will be glad to know that publisher Activison remained true to its word to return to the series' staunch rock roots.

It looks like a pretty pumping set list. But don’t take our word for it, read the full track listing below:

Wow! TEN whole songs worth playing that I don't already have in Rock Band...
  • DarkSmokePuncher - August 19, 2010 9:23 p.m.

    2112. That is all.
  • Fiirestorm21 - August 19, 2010 6:42 p.m.

Whoa, and "Scumbag Blues" by Them Crooked Vultures. Double points right there.
  • Fiirestorm21 - August 19, 2010 6:41 p.m.

Well, it's got a new Soundgarden song ("Black Rain") so it's not all that bad.
  • halomech15 - August 19, 2010 6:37 p.m.

FINALLY someone puts Queenryche into a game! Also, the rest of the setlist looks pretty good, with some (OK, quite a few) exceptions.
  • ZiegZeon - August 19, 2010 6:24 p.m.

Nickleback? Really? I though the game was "Warriors of Rock" not "Takers of Cock"
  • JDMDrifter - August 19, 2010 6:06 p.m.

overall the list isn't too bad, but the only song that will keep me from ever buying, playing or renting this game is nickelback.
  • DarkSpyroDragon - August 19, 2010 5:32 p.m.

Seriously? They pick the Spiderman theme for the Ramones? I knew if CBGBs was a location they would have to have a Ramones Song, but really? Spiderman? And overall, not a very good song list
  • InstantTitKill - August 19, 2010 4:43 p.m.

1+ for having a Them Crooked Vultures song. -1 000 000 for having a NickelBack song... eeeeeew.
  • abbottfrizzell - August 19, 2010 12:27 p.m.

anberlin, fall out boy, nickleback, and linkin park? I thought this was the warriors of rock not the warriors of pop rock
  • Randomwordcombination - August 19, 2010 11:42 a.m.

    Why is ALF playing guitar?
  • Tronto13 - August 19, 2010 8:36 a.m.

Frikkin awesome!! Best lineup ever! Got plenty of decent new stuff as well as the classics Aerosmith and Def Lepard!Thank god theyve gone back to rock and metal, i love rockband but the setlist is so diluted with songs i really dont want to play.
  • Felixthecat - August 19, 2010 7:36 a.m.

  • sleepy92ismypsn - August 19, 2010 7:25 a.m.

Rock Band 3 has only about 40 songs revealed so far and already have way more good songs. Only thing Guitar Hero WOR has on RB3 is Bat country, uprising and seven nation army(i think it's already RB Dlc)
  • SwampRock - August 19, 2010 7:14 a.m.

filled with meh, as usual. there's only like 4 songs I'd even want to play, all else dissapoints.
  • KaiokenKid - August 19, 2010 6:59 a.m.

does Activision have like the Muse Exclusivity agreement or something? I dont remember them ever being in a RB game.
  • SonicofBoom - August 19, 2010 5:56 a.m.

Rx Bandits and Strung Out? I'd never thought they'd be in a Guitar Hero game. That's pretty cool for me, i might rent this game sometime.
  • jpalz - August 19, 2010 5:39 a.m.

Even though there are some omissions (No Iron Maiden makes me a sad dude :( ), and some additions (Nickelback and Linkin Park) that I find VERY questionable, this setlist is better than I thought it would be :).
  • theintellectual - August 19, 2010 5:38 a.m.

this is probably the best setlist ive seen in a game. however i have yet to see rb3.
  • revrock - August 19, 2010 5:25 a.m.

i agree with Nano... if they don't have that intro it won't be the same. Also, "This Day We Fight" rules!
