First screenshots for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

If you're brimming with excitement over Bethesda's next entry in the storied Elder Scrolls franchise, then head over to Facebook and say that you "Like" the official game series fan page. You'll be treated to a handful of the first screenshots of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Of course, you could also go to GamesRadar’s official fan page and “Like” us, because we’ve got all the new images here as well.

As should be expected in any Elder Scrolls title, the screenshots for Skyrim show vast, magnificent-looking landscapes and intriguing creatures. There is also a brief look at combat elements in the game, with a picture detailing various move types.

There's also five "Concept Art" photos from the upcoming game, mostly environmental in nature. For those who don't know, the Elder Scrolls franchise is known for sweepingly huge games that can take well over 100 hours to complete. Every entry is a big deal.

Above: It sure is going to be tough waiting until the game releases. At least The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has an easy-to-remember release date, which is currently set for November 11, 2011 (aka 11/11/11)

Multiplayer, plz. This definitely looks like I need a new rig for this fricker. My family's XPS 410 stood an OK chance against Oblivion's close game times and draw distances. Good lord.

Not everybody has the time or the extra cash to read/buy magazines, so these are new to a lot of people

  • Spybreak8 - February 12, 2011 9:36 p.m.

Graphics are good but will we have more than 8 voice actors?! ^^
  • Helios - February 12, 2011 7:45 p.m.

Interesting. Some of the screens remind me of Morrowind, especially the first one. I don't know why; maybe it's the way the city is set up. Either way, I can't wait for this one.
  • NightCrawler_358 - February 12, 2011 7:02 p.m.

Looks so great! The graphics are so much better, especially character models! I just hope they have more than 7 voice actors for this one.

  • JADENkOTOR - February 12, 2011 5:32 p.m.

It still looks muddled like everything Bethesda does... but at least the women aren't trannies.
  • Outlander - February 12, 2011 5:30 p.m.

I've been following this ridiculously close so I've already seen these screens. However, it's nice to see them up on GamesRadar! The official website of the internet. :D

@RicePuddingUK: I know, right? In ten or twenty years' time, all I will remember about Oblivion is how god-awful the wome--scratch that, all the characters looked.
  • RicePuddingUK - February 12, 2011 10:46 a.m.

Yay! Elder Scrolls finally has decent looking females, all the women in Oblivion looked like Pale orcs
  • jmcgrotty - February 12, 2011 10:17 a.m.

No matter what you get for it, please don't ever publicize facebook. It just is embarrassing and makes you look pathetic.

I saw one of these pictures (along with some others not shown here) on a forum I frequent some weeks ago. Still looks absolutely great as bonkers.
