has released a new batch of on-set images, including several of Daniel Craig’s increasingly grizzled Bond, as well as the first proper look at Javier Bardem’s villain, Silva.
The images show Bardem sporting a head of blonde hair whilst dressed as a Metropolitan policeman. We can only assume that this is some kind of disguise, unless of course Silva is just a disgruntled copper, fed up with this country’s latest round of spending cuts. It seems unlikely, though…
It looks as though this scene will be taking place in the film’s Whitehall-set segment, with Bardem’s character likely about to unleash some sort of mayhem upon the capital.
Thankfully, Bond also appears to be on hand, sporting a nifty in-ear radio and a slick pin-striped suit. Is he receiving instruction from M via that earpiece? We’ll have to wait and see, although given that MI6 is Silva’s overarching target, Judi Dench’s character will likely have a fairly meaty role this time around.
In any case, Bardem looks just as terrifying as he did in
No Country For Old Men
. The man knows his way around a sinister scowl…
