The first trailer has dropped online for the third season of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., and it makes a whole heap of references to the Inhumans, not least in the form of Skye’s new persona as the super-power-wielding Daisy Johnson. Looks like she’s become a lot more than Phil Coulson’s protégé…
She’ll need to be, too, because there’s a new villain on the scene thanks to Matthew Willig’s Inhuman character, Lash. He makes his monstrous bow towards the end of the teaser, and while we only get a brief glimpse of him, he seems a suitably daunting antagonist.
Check out the new teaser, below…
The third season is going to have a lot to pack in, with the Inhuman storyline sitting alongside the ongoing battle with HYDRA, the establishment of the Secret Warriors and the set-up of the spin-off series, Marvel’s Most Wanted. We’ll find out just how good the show-runners are at plate-spinning when the new series debuts on September 29 2015.
