Square Enix has confirmed plans to release the HD remasters of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 later this year in Europe and North America.

Confirming recent reports, the PS3 release will bundle both games on one disc called Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster, while the titles will be sold separately on Vita.

Both games are based on the most complete, feature-rich International versions. The International version of Final Fantasy X-2 never released in Europe.

Square Enix plans to launch a new trailer showcasing the games on Monday, March 25, so for now you’ll have to do with the fresh screenshots you can see at the top of the page.

I dont think its a bad idea to sell the Vita versions separately, digitally anyway. Especially considering the price of the memory cards. Also I think the maximum capacity of a PS Vita game card is 4GB, and these are big games. I wouldn't expect the combined price of the 2 individual games to be more than the PS3 version. I loved these game so will be getting them for definite, probably both version too if there is a cloud sync for saves.

Finally I can do the International version of FFX. I'm so happy! FFX-2 is one of those games where i hate the story and most of the characters but have fun playing the game. The dresspheres are annoyingly fun.

Im reeeaaallly excited for this... I'm kinda on a FF binge right now, so X and X2 would really kick ass.

It's funny how the Vita keeps getting screwed over. I went from saying "Hey looks like I might actually get a Vita for this." to "a two for one PS3 release? So long Vita!"

Awesome. Loved X and X-2. X more so than X-2 but X-2 had an awesome battle system. Will be happy to purchase this so i don't have to bring out ye olde PS2 to play X :D
