FEAR 3 Collector’s Edition to include a pregnant Alma

I didn’t know that I wanted the collector’s edition of FEAR 3. But that was before I found out that it will come packed with a pregnant Alma Wade. That’s right. The collector’s edition of FEAR 3 will come with a 7” figurine of a very pregnant Alma. And if you’re worried that you won’t be able to admire the bulging belly of the mysterious psychic once the lights go out, don’t worry. It glows in the dark.

Above: The sickest extra we’ve ever seen included in a collector’s edition. Must have

Above: A bunch of stuff we don’t care about (left, middle). The pregnant Alma figure (right)

The collector’s edition will also include sturdy SteelBook packaging, an exclusive in-game weapon, and a FEAR 3 comic from DC Comics. But I don’t care about that. I want the pregnant Alma. It will go nicely with my chubby Boomer plush doll and collection of human hair.

FEAR 3 will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The release date was recently delayed from March till May, 2011.

Sick CE! I wonder if it'll be available for all platforms... Undoubtedly, the first FEAR game was the best. Great controls/gameplay, story was better and also, it was scarier! The sequel was an ok game even with the awkward console-ish controls; but the fact that the sequel ignored FEAR 1 expansions were lame. So with FEAR 3, the main protagonist is back, aka The Point Man, teamed with the brother he killed! What a lovely family! I really wonder where this series is heading too... hopefully, won't follow a "Saw-esque" inspiration! I'm still considering preordering this... and if the CE comes to PC and won't be too expansive, imma buy it!

Well, I certainly have "FEAR" seeing this.

Actually Straygator In the first FEAR you played as the point man, in the second you play as Michael Becket, a Delta Force operator. So it wasn't her son at the end of FEAR 2 (fear harder). Never got into the series, won't be playing FEAR 3 (brothers in arms).

@BadWobot-There's somebody 'whacking off' to everything at all times. Yes,even the statuettes of Kratos and whatever dismembered beasty whose head he's holding aloft, the replica Companion Cubes and the COG Lancer Guns...not just the COGs but their weapons. Have fun thinking about that! Ah,now here's an extra that noone will have to worry about making their playthroughs too easy. With Alma staring at them at all times as if waiting for the player to show a moment of weakness, presenting her with an opportunity to strike (on either side of the screen...wooooo!),they may all be so petrified that they waste all of their ammo on the nearest shadow,so there's no FEAR of that happening.

tbh Alma took "the hammer" by force from (technically) her own son. hillbilly joke go here. also, 30 second sponsor message before a 10 second video. oh well.

Yeah I think I'll pass. Might still play the game, but that sh*t is horrible.
  • bushisprez - January 14, 2011 3:58 a.m.

    Someone gave Alma "the Hammer".
  • CancerMan - January 14, 2011 3:57 a.m.

It's so horrible I have to have it. Imagine it'll make a good conversation piece.

I have never played either of the first two games but that figure alone is enough for me to buy the third. @BadWobot - I'll whack off to it once I have it, the vague pictures and short video just don't give me enough to finish myself off with.
  • BadWobot - January 14, 2011 1:56 a.m.

Somebody somewhere is whacking off to this...
  • KaiokenKid - January 14, 2011 1:56 a.m.

    CREEPY! I approve!
  • dunc12 - January 14, 2011 1:48 a.m.

Yeah bit of an odd twist, but it sorta fits with the series. Also, this is definitely the weirdest special edition pack-in I've seen

Definitely won't have felt good about himself the next morning then...

*Spoiler* After getting raped by her in the second game, I am too pissed off to play the third one.

Hopefully the government's keeping track of everyone who buys this abomination, so they can send them directly to a mental hospital. Also, I'm not very familiar with the Fear series. Did the protagonist really knock her up? He can't have felt good about himself the next morning.

That'd be a nice little accessory to keep in a guest bedroom, facing the bed. I'm sure everyone would get a good night's rest with a glow-in-the-dark freakish doll staring at them while preggers with some freaky looking thing.

LOL thats so weird of all the things to push on people to buy a collector's edition for. As if having your dude in fear 2 knock her up now you have a figure to remind you of it. So weird.
  • iSuperNova77 - January 14, 2011 1:05 a.m.

Yes, because that is always what I've wanted with my collector's editions. It's just creepy, I think I'll stick to the normal version of FEAR 3 thanks.
