Extended Uncharted 3 trailer releases with more footage and sand

An extended trailer for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has just released. When compared to the tiny teaser released earlier this week, this extended version features about two minutes of additional footage and a lot more sand.

Uncharted 3 finds Nathan Drake and Sully searching for ‘The Atlantis of the Desert,’ a lost city full of mysterious secrets and phat loot. The sandy environments featured in the teaser is marks a change for the jungle-friendly platformer.  “When we first came up with the idea of sand, you see everyone’s eyes light up here and go, ‘Yeah, that’s going to be really hard — let’s do it!’” said Creative Director Ann Hennig in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Other, less sandy, environments have been confirmed by Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer, in addition to the return of online multiplayer and co-op modes. And if you’ve got the tech, you can look forward to following the exploits of Nathan Drake in stereoscopic 3D.

I don't think anyone could not be excited by this. Uncharted is easily the best new franchise created this generation.

Between this and Skyrim... why do Novembers make me so poor?! I wonder if it will have a more free roaming feel, maybe driving a buggy, borderlands-esque. Nah, I'd rather have another straightforward, cinematic action masterpiece. although 2010 wasn;t an impressive year, 2011 is making me really excited.

So many games in 2011 and Unchared will be one the best games of next year. It's in my top 3 most anticipated with Twisted Metal and The Last Guardian. I just bought the Uncharted 3 Drake avatar for $0.49 on the store and downloaded the wallpaper. There is an 8 minute video of Naughty Dog in the studio making the game on the Playstation store.
