Explore The Witness in PS4 developer video

One of the greatest surprises of the PlayStation 4's reveal event was Jonathan Blow. We weren't expecting the creator of Braid to walk on stage, show a trailer of his new game The Witness, and say it would premiere on PS4.

Blow talks about what drew him to the platform in this new "Conversations with Creators" video from PlayStation, and debuts some new footage of the open-world puzzle game.

Blow doesn't actually speak about Sony very much here. But if that reflects on the company's approach to The Witness (i.e, just make the game you want to make and we'll put it on our console), that's a good sign.

OK I was interested in the game when the graphics were shown and when the point of the game was said... but after saying the the game doesn't tell a great story .. i'm out.

Uh... did you actually paid any attention at what he said? He never said there wasn't a great story. Just that if you go in just wanting to play a puzzle game without feeling encumbered with the story, there's that, but the story and details of it are definitely there. If you have ever played trough Braid, Blow's last game, you'd understand what he's talking about.
