Devil May Cry HD Collection confirmed for US and UK

Capcom has confirmed plans to upgrade Dante and Vergil with high-definition makeovers for a Devil May Cry HD Collection. As previously predicted, Capcom this week marked the action series' 10th anniversary by announcing a three-game compilation pack featuring enhanced versions of Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening.

Beyond sharper graphics, all three games will include unannounced bonus content and support for trophy/achievement junkies. The collection has only been announced as a February 10, 2012 release for European PS3 and Xbox 360 fans, though Capcom's US side confirmed it for our shores too.

Ninja Theory is also working on its own DmC: Devil May Cry reboot, which is also expected to arrive next year. Watch a grittier, emo-ier Dante get up to some new tricks in one of the latest trailers:

They need to make 1 and 2 control like DMC 3, DMC3 is the best one because of the controls and difficulty. DMC 2 was just too mad easy, the difficulty needs to be modified, and part 1 needs camera controls. But i guarantee that capcom will not do anything concerning either issue. I hope they prove me wrong, if they do I'll buy two copies.

Hopefully Capcom won't do a poor job like they did with the resi games which they should not do with it being an anniversary release but would not put passed them if this is special edition DMC3 that would be fantastic and hopefully the will tweak or add a control method like that of 3 with the original,it's so hard to go back to the original since its triangle to jump can never get used to it again

Matt! We must know! Will the DMC3 version the the original version that was released (with the same difficulty) or will it represent the Special Edition emeraldphoenix7 was talking about?

I wonder... Will DMC3 HD have all of the features and difficulty tweaks as the special edition version? I hope so. Playing as Vergil was the bomb.

... Screw those two. DMC 's 1 and 3 were two of the best games EVER, PERIOD. I'd be happy to pay £30 to get the first three games upscaled with trophy/cheevo support. Especially if all the fans buy the HD upscalings, and then not the reboot, and make Capcom realise they don't NEED a reboot- they just need DANTE back.

I'm totally with you on this one. I don't know what it is, but the even-numbered DMCs suck ass. I count the reboot as DMC Zero (read: even) so my hopes are not high. Still, I'd buy this just to play DMC again without pulling my PS2 out of storage.

Yeah not to mention the second DMC was absolutely fkn terrible.

If this "HD" remake is anything like what we were given with RE4 and Code Veronica...I will definitely pass.
