Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location November 6-8. Helm of Inmost Light!

Xur, Destiny’s most benevolent, tentacle-faced enigma – he might charge you for the Exotic things he brings, but he once stopped for half an hour to help me fix a flat tyre at the side of the road, and it was raining – is returned to The Tower, to vend the finest specialist upgrades in the solar system. Not specifically this week though. That was just more of a general statement. But what does he have today? Well, if you track him down opposite the entrance to the Speaker's chamber, you'll find…

So once again its a week of 'stop asking for Exotic guns because the more you moan the less likely you are to get one'. But is the armour any good? 'S'alright, I suppose. The Celestial Nighthawk's key party-trick is that it makes the Golden Gun super fire a single shot at six times the damage of a normal one, which is quite the kick to deliver to a boss, but a terrible, terrible waste if you somehow miss. And also a really quick, really focused use for a full super charge. In terms of damage total, you do get more killing power out of the Nighthawk's modified Golden Gun (twice the damage of a standard GG salvo, in fact), but whether you're better using that particular super on a single enemy or more effective spreading it around a bit is going to be very situationally dependent.

The Titan helm, however, basically turns you into The Incredible Hulk, with a two-perk combo extending your leaping range when using Fist of Havok, and allowing said super to be more precisely aimed. Again, its practical use is debatable, though it is great for surprise attacking enemies who think they're out of range, and scoring brutal Crucible kills from out of nowhere. And The Impossible Machines? They're a rather natty super booster too, giving the Landfall perk - which fires a huge bolt of lighting straight down when activating Stormcaller - for free. With the radius-boosting Superconductor now freed up, and the Machines affording the potential to boost the recharge of your grenades or melee too, if you spec the rest of your armour right, you can have an immensely damaging, medium-range AoF build here, with really quick super recharge.
