Dead Rising 2: Off the Record trailer prepares you for the return of Frank West

With less than a week until Dead Rising 2: Off the Record launches, it’s time to catch up with the series' returning protagonist, Frank West. This clip highlights the zombie-smashing photojournalist’s time out of the spotlight – and apparently, the years have not been kind to him.

Above: Look how old Frank West looks. We call it the Max Payne effect

Billed as an “all new Dead Rising 2 experience,” Off the Record re-imagines the Fortune City outbreak from West’s perspective. For the record, Off the Record will launch on Oct 11 on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Then you can decide if West looks better than Chuck Greene sporting a blood-red onesie astride a chainsaw motorcycle.

"LOL DAN AKYROYD LOL SAME GAME" I'd just like to say that this is not the same game, to all the haters out there. There is plenty of new content. Get over it and stop whining. Preordered, because I missed DR2.

I already played the original Dead Rising 2, I don't need to play the same game again with a Dan Akroyd skin.

Man, I love that even with all the silly stuff happening in this trailer, it still manages to be really cool. :D

OH GOD. For like two seconds in that trailer you can clearly see Chuck Greene from the original. AND HE IS BREAKING A ZOMBIE'S NECK WITH HIS BARE HANDS. His hair is longer and slightly disheveled, he has some five o' clock shadow, and MY LORD WHAT IS THAT ON HIS BACK? That's a.... that's a.... doll that looks awfully similar to his daughter. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO THEY DID NOT.
