Dead or Alive Dimensions for the 3DS has a “story” mode

Dead or Alive Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS will have a “story” mode. Don’t laugh. As we all know, Dead or Alive’s story-driven gameplay and fully “fleshed out” characters have always been the series’ greatest strengths. If anyone tells you otherwise, you should punch them in their cleavage. Hard.

Details on the “story” mode (aka the Chronicle Mode) come from a recent update on Famitsu. In addition to filling you in on all the important plot details you missed from previous DoA titles, the Chronicle Mode will double as a tutorial of sorts, allowing you to master battle techniques.

Above: This is not a screenshot from DoA Dimensions. We just really like ice cream

Above: This is a screenshot from DoA Dimensions. We hope the Chronicle Mode explores Kasumi’s motivation for battling the bearded glowing guy in this scene

Above: A shot of the command list and how it will look on the bottom screen of the Nintendo 3DS

Also revealed is how the bottom screen of the Nintendo 3DS will be used. Expect to see a handy cheat sheet with all of your characters moves listed there. If you’re too wrapped up in Dead or Alive Dimensions’ story to keep up with all the intense bouncing and grappling going on, you can also tap on moves listed on the bottom screen to execute attacks.

DOA1... for the fourth time. I mean, really? WHY? At least port DOA2 again. Though if you ask me DOA3 needs a remake. It had better controls and more characters than 2. I thought 4 was too fast. I want 3 in 3D. DOA3D. That is an epic title.

It's too late to revive DoA as a fighter without it's creator around. DoA will forever be known as Tecmo Sexy Bikini Idol!

I couldn't help but giggle at "Don't laugh."

I really like the doa series, mini virtua fighter. Plenty of eye candy and pretty girls. I still play DoA4 a lot. It'll be nice for this to come out if it's not as slow as doacentral is saying it is.

That will probably get an anti award next year for worst story, called it. And, uh, first I think.
