Good news. You won't have to wait long before you can captain your own starship. Ubisoft has announced release dates for its three biggest VR titles. Star Trek: Bridge Crew - which our own Leon Hurley absolutely loved at E3 - will be out on PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on November 29. An exclusive VR title, it drops you straight into the action where you can fly alone or with others as you command the U.S.S Aegis on a mission to explore an area of space known as The Trench.
If taking to the skies above Paris is more your thing, then Eagle Flight is out on Oculus on October 18, PlayStation VR on November 8 and HTC Vive on December 20. I loved the smooth simplicity of Eagle Flight and despite the fact that there's plenty of movement, there was no sign of the nausea aspect that lurks in so many virtual reality games. It was one of my major highlights of the best VR games of E3 2016.
Finally, the lesser known Werewolves Within will be out on all VR platforms on December 6. This table top style multiplayer howl-fest sees you taking on a randomised role and hunting down werewolves within a village. Whether you're a villager hiding the fact that they're actually a monster or a gossip just passing on information, this looks like an exciting recreation of the table top experience.
