Crysis 2 multiplayer demo exclusive for 360 next week, new trailer inside

Want to play the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo? We hope you have an Xbox 360. Crytek and EA have announced that the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo will be exclusive to Xbox LIVE gold members on January 25. More details and a gorgeous new multiplayer teaser below.

The demo will include the Skyline multiplayer map and two modes: Crash Site and Team Instant Action. From what we can glean from the press release, Crash Site is a sort of capture-the-flag mode that finds teams fighting for control of alien drop pods and earning points for guarding them. Team Instant Action, on the other hand, involves a two-team free-for-all as they square off against each other to score as many kills as possible.

When the game ships in March, the number of gameplay modes will jump to six with 12 maps set in one seriously busted up New York City.

We’d also like to take this time to point out that this game involves Nanosuits. Just say it out loud: “N-a-n-o-s-u-i-t-s.” Man, that word is awesome. Crysis 2’s gonna have them, you know. Tell your friends. Nanosuits. We can’t stress this enough.

I really don't get this. Why release a demo of a game that is going to be mainly purchased for PC on 360?

Invaders Must Die? Well in this case, there are invaders, so might as well kill them.

@TheTygerfire LOL i know the Scott Pilgrim trailer song is everywhere! I don't mind it though it just reminds me how awesome that movie was.
  • TheTygerfire - January 22, 2011 8:34 p.m.

I really really hope that song isn't going to be overused. It barely fit Duke Nukem but this...I don't know...

This game is now officialy on my... *puts on sunglasses* radar. Looks like Invaders Must Die is the new go to song for game trailers (see Duke Nkem Forever). I couldn't have been less excited before watching this trailer. Looks like a cross between Mirrors Edge, Crackdown, Call Of Duty, and of course Crysis.

Is that PC or 360 graphics in the trailer? If this is what it will look like on 360, then they've done a great job.
