Check out Saints Row IV’s opening mission

VG247 has published a video showing the opening mission of Saints Row IV. According to narrator and senior producer Jim Boone, the beginning of the game sees players taking on a covert mission to stop Cyrus from Saints Row: The Third, who has hired a bunch of terrorists in order to nuke Washington DC.

Volition has also launched Saints Row IV character creation software ahead of the game’s release later this month. Dubbed the ‘Inauguration Station’, it enables users to create or modify characters to play with in the game. Saints Row: The Third characters can be downloaded and updated, and users can browse an online gallery to view creations shared by the community. The Inauguration Station is available from today on Xbox Live and Steam. It'll be available on PS3 tomorrow everywhere except the Americas, where it'll launch on August 13.

Saints Row IV sees players take on the role of the President of the United States, who's tasked with leading a counterattack against invading alien forces. The game is set for release on August 20 in North America and August 23 in Europe. Get our most recent impressions in this E3 preview.

This drives me nuts, both trailers and initial releases of SR2 and SR3 had me mad excited. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't help but dislike them. Now SR4 has me even more excited, but I'm afraid I'll feel the same about it when I actually get to play. I just don't get it.

Grand Theft Auto 5 May not Include These Missions Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to release on Sept. 17, 2013. I believe you guys are all excited about it. Since Rockstar really goes all-in on this front, this game will likely become Rockstar’s biggest open world game ever. But it’s not a surprise that you won’t be able to do everything in this game. Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing. After all, you don’t want to take time out from gameplay to buy toilet paper. Let’s see what missions the Grand Theft Auto 5 may not include. from gameguyz

So, in that mission alone, I saw a God of War reference, a Predator reference ( if I'm remembering that scene correctly), and an Armageddon reference. I'm officially hyped for SR4. Can the 20th get here any sooner?

I don't think they could've taken more piss out of CoD if they had a catheter and a lifetime supply of diuretics... ...I really want this game.

I'm not one to obsess over character creation, but this is such a cool thing to do I'll probably download and mess around anyway.
