Gold (1st): 100 points Silver (2nd): 75 points Bronze (3rd): 50 points These points help advance your Festival rank. Each time you rank up, you receive a new vehicle pack, a new driver pack, and more events. Rank 1: 0 points Rank 2: 400 points, Use Bikes and Mudpluggers in the festival, Speed and Eliminator events become available Rank 3: 1200 points, Use Rally Cars and Monster Trucks in the Festival Rank 4: 2600 points Rank 5: 3800 points Rank 6: 5000 points Rank 7: 6200 points Rank 8: 7400 points =============== MSPR2. Vehicles =============== There are 8 different types of vehicles in Pacific Rift. Each race will have restrictions on which vehicle class you can use. If there is a certain vehicle you want to use for that race that is within the class restrictions, you can select it by choosing the vehicle class, going to the garage by pressing Square, and scrolling through your available vehicles. Each vehicle class has generic stats the max out at 5. After each time you rank up in the Festival, you receive a new vehicle pack ============= MSPR2A. Bikes ============= Bikes are nimble and quick compared to the other vehicles. They also damage real easily. Choosing a route is key to using a Bike. Bikes should stay high and dry and avoid mud and other obstacles. You won’t be able to use Bikes in the Festival until Rank 2 Stats ----- Speed: *** Acceleration: **** Durability: * Traction: *** Maneuverability: ***** Terrain Handling: *** Unlocked from Beginning ----------------------- Wasabi Ventura Wakazashi Racer Unlocked at Rank 2 ------------------ Wuff Expedition Unlocked at Rank 3 ------------------ Mohawk Indiana Unlocked at Rank 4 ------------------ Wasabi Junior MX Unlocked at Rank 5 ------------------ Monarch Roadhog Unlocked at Rank 6 ------------------ Wasabi Oshzushi Unlocked at Rank 7 ------------------ Wasabi Twinblade Wasabi Wildcat MX Unlocked at Rank 8 ------------------ Monarch Champ Wuff Enduro Trophy Unlocks -------------- Monarch Sparrowhawk: Friendship =========== MSPR2B. ATV =========== ATV’s are more stable than Bikes but they aren’t as agile as Bikes. Mud and other obstacles will still cause some problems Stats ----- Speed: ** Acceleration: **** Durability: * Traction: ***** Maneuverability: **** Terrain Handling: **** Unlocked from Beginning ----------------------- Aztec Komodo Wasabi Eagle Unlocked at Rank 2 ------------------ Wasabi Rascal Unlocked at Rank 3 ------------------ Ibex Bushfire Unlocked at Rank 4 ------------------ Mirage Bellete Unlocked at Rank 5 ------------------ Aztec Sabertooth Ibex Scout Unlocked at Rank 6 ------------------ Mirage Caliano Unlocked at Rank 7 ------------------ Wasabi Phoenix Unlocked at Rank 8 ------------------ Molotov Stuuka Trophy Unlocks -------------- Molotov Elbrus: Ghost Rider Monarch Deerstalker: Legend Wombat Mudslide: Runner Up ============= MSPR2C. Buggy ============= Buggies are perfect for uneven landscapes but mud will still prove to be a bit problematic. They offer superior handling on rough terrain and can knock Bikes and ATV’s out of the way. Rally Cars and Racing Trucks will give you a fair fight but it is advised not to anger the bigger vehicles Stats ----- Speed: *** Acceleration: **** Durability: ** Traction: *** Maneuverability: *** Terrain Handling: **** Unlocked from Beginning ----------------------- Jester BXS Lunar-Tec Rollcage Unlocked at Rank 2 ------------------ Jester BXR II Concept Unlocked at Rank 3 ------------------ Beelzebuggy Carabid Unlocked at Rank 4 ------------------ Wombat Hurricane Lunar-Tec Treefrog Unlocked at Rank 5 ------------------ Humbler Diablo Unlocked at Rank 6 ------------------ Super Jester BXR Unlocked at Rank 7 ------------------ Voodoo Rattler Unlocked at Rank 8 ------------------ Jester BXR Trophy Unlocks -------------- Beelzebuggy SpaceFrame II: Immortal Wombat Beachmaster: Casual Wombat Typhoon: Hire Me ================= MSPR2D. Rally Car ================= Rally Cars can blow past anyone on flat surfaces but due to a low chassis, rough terrain can cause problems. Even though Rally Cars are somewhat stable, fighting anything bigger than an ATV may not bode well for you. Avoid collisions and keep your foot on the gas. You won’t be able to use Rally Cars in the Festival until Rank 3 Stats ----- Speed: ***** Acceleration: **** Durability: ** Traction: *** Maneuverability: *** Terrain Handling: ** Unlocked from Beginning ----------------------- Patriot Blackfoot Italia Strano Unlocked at Rank 3 ------------------ Patriot V-8 Unlocked at Rank 4 ------------------ Italia Velocita Unlocked at Rank 5 ------------------ Patriot Renegade Unlocked at Rank 6 ------------------ Italia Gagliano Patriot Surger Unlocked at Rank 7 ------------------ Falfer Domino Wuff Revo Unlocked at Rank 8 ------------------ Castro Toro Lunar-Tec Weevil Trophy Unlocks -------------- Monarch MK I: Ranked Streak Ozutsu Ronin: Competitor ==================== MSPR2E. Racing Truck ==================== Racing Trucks are a good all-around vehicle. They don’t have any major advantages; yet, they don’t have any major disadvantages, either. They can handle most any racing surface and even hold their own against the bigger vehicles Stats ----- Speed: *** Acceleration: ** Durability: **** Traction: **** Maneuverability: ** Terrain Handling: **** Unlocked from Beginning ----------------------- Patriot Rodeo Castro Capitano Unlocked at Rank 2 ------------------ Castro Robusto Wuff Jager Unlocked at Rank 3 ------------------ Ozutsu Tanto Unlocked at Rank 4 ------------------ Atlas Teamster Unlocked at Rank 5 ------------------ Castro Conquistador Unlocked at Rank 6 ------------------ Patriot Riot Unlocked at Rank 7 ------------------ Italia Vulcan Unlocked at Rank 8 ------------------ Voodoo Iguana Trophy Unlocks -------------- Ozutsu Daimyo: Speeder ================== MSPR2F. Mudplugger ================== Mudpluggers are designed to blow through mud. However, this vehicle’s real strengths are big wheels and good suspension. Speed is a bit of a problem, but it will take control while everyone else slows down to go through the mud. You won’t be able to use Mudpluggers in the Festival until Rank 2 Stats ----- Speed: **** Acceleration: ** Durability: **** Traction: ** Maneuverability: ** Terrain Handling: ***** Unlocked from Beginning ----------------------- Monarch Claymore Atlas Varjack Unlocked at Rank 2 ------------------ Jester BXL Mojave Slugger Unlocked at Rank 3 ------------------ Voodoo Anaconda Unlocked at Rank 4 ------------------ McQueen Adventure Atlas Pacifier Unlocked at Rank 5 ------------------ Atlas Jackhammer Unlocked at Rank 6 ------------------ Monarch Bulldog Unlocked at Rank 7 ------------------ Lunar-Tec Asylum Unlocked at Rank 8 ------------------ Patriot Bushwacker Trophy Unlocks -------------- Mirage Bastille: Champion Mojave Globetrotter: Speed Demon =============== MSPR2G. Big Rig =============== Big Rigs are all about sheer brute force. The trick to driving a Big Rig is to build up your speed and maintain it. You won’t have much agility but you can just blow through everyone anyways Stats ----- Speed: **** Acceleration: * Durability: ***** Traction: **** Maneuverability: * Terrain Handling: **** Unlocked from Beginning ----------------------- Molotov Caucasus Patriot Minuteman Unlocked at Rank 2 ------------------ Molotov Baikal Atlas Governor Unlocked at Rank 3 ------------------ Castro Varadero Nord Jurmungand Unlocked at Rank 4 ------------------ Patriot 80 Unlocked at Rank 5 ------------------ Lunar-Tec Buffalo Unlocked at Rank 6 ------------------ Lunar-Tec Invader Unlocked at Rank 7 ------------------ Patriot Thunderchief Unlocked at Rank 8 ------------------ Molotov Drago Trophy Unlocks -------------- Atlas Arizona: Last Man Standing Monarch Backpacker: Champion The Nord Viking: Hero ===================== MSPR2H. Monster Truck ===================== Monster Trucks are a force to be reckoned with. With gigantic wheels that can get you through any surface, there isn’t much that can hinder Monster Trucks abilities, except for sharp corners. Take one too fast and you will find most likely find yourself respawning. You won’t be able to use Monster Trucks in the Festival until Rank 3 Stats ----- Speed: *** Acceleration: **** Durability: **** Traction: *** Maneuverability: * Terrain Handling: ***** Unlocked from Beginning ----------------------- Lunar-Tec Sasquatch Lunar-Tec Wendigo Unlocked at Rank 3 ------------------ Beelzebuggy Bombadier Unlocked at Rank 4 ------------------ Lunar-Tec Yeti Unlocked at Rank 5 ------------------ Voodoo Mastodon Unlocked at Rank 6 ------------------ Lunar-Tec Grendel Trophy Unlocks -------------- Atlas Earthquake: Over Achiever Voodoo Thunder Lizard: Racefan =============== MSPR3. Festival =============== The festival takes place in one of the island’s distinct racing zones. There are 4 zones you will race in. Each zone has 4 tracks that you will race on. There are 2 new factors affecting your boost. Driving near open lava will cause your boost to heat faster, keeping you from using as much as you want. Driving through water will cool down your boost, allowing you to use more. After each rank you will receive more events. Each area has two Rank 1 events. Upon reaching Rank 2, you will receive 4 new events. Two races will unlock an Eliminator event or Speed event and the others will be whichever is unlocked. From Rank 3 and on, you will receive three events: One unlocks an Eliminator or Speed, one is the Eliminator or Speed, and the third is a regular race. ================== MSPR3A. Earth Zone ================== The island’s Earth Zone throws racers deep into the island’s jungles and forests. With the dense and dirty area, maneuvering through low visibility can be treacherous. Air Zone ================ High above the island’s tree line lies the Air Zone. Tracks will include fast downhill runs, massive jumps, and sheer cliff edges. Smaller vehicles will have more control but the bigger vehicles are still good for knocking the smaller vehicles off the map. The best paths are laid out by organizers with ramps and flags but one wrong move could cost you Rank 1 races ------------ Caldera Ridge: Air Born Classes Allowed: Buggy and Racing Truck 2 Lap Race Badlands: Dust to Dust Classes Allowed: Buggy and Racing Truck 2 Lap Race Rank 2 races ------------ Raingod Spires: In-Spired Classes Allowed: Bike and ATV 2 Lap Race Target Time: 2:40 Unlocks Rangod Spires Speed Raingod Spires: Touchdown Class Allowed: Bike Speed event Caldera Ridge: Nosebleed Classes Allowed: Racing Truck, Mudplugger, Big Rig 2 Lap Race Target Time: 3:00 Unlocks Caldera Ridge Speed Caldera Ridge: Ridge Run Class Allowed: ATV Speed event Rank 3 races ------------ The Edge: Oblivion Classes Allowed: Buggy and Rally Car 2 Lap Race Wreck Limit: 4 Unlocks The Edge Eliminator The Edge: Vertigo Class Allowed: Buggy Eliminator event Raingod Spires: Sling Shot Classes Allowed: Racing Truck, Mudplugger, Monster Truck 2 Lap Race Rank 4 races ------------ Badlands: Ashes to Ashes Classes Allowed: Bike, ATV, Rally Car 2 Lap Race Wreck Limit: 4 Unlocks Badlands Eliminator Badlands: Wasted Classes Allowed: Bike and ATV Eliminator event The Edge: Downward Spiral Classes Allowed: Mudplugger, Big Rig, Monster Truck 2 Lap Race Rank 5 races ------------ Caldera Ridge: Observe This Classes Allowed: Mudplugger and Monster Truck 2 Lap Race Wreck Limit: 2 Unlocks Caldera Ridge Eliminator Caldera Ridge: Blind Rage Class Allowed: Bike Eliminator event Badlands: Rigged for Destruction Classes Allowed: ATV, Mudplugger, and Big Rig 2 Lap Race Rank 6 races ------------ The Edge: Gravedigger Class Allowed: Monster Truck 2 Lap Race Target Time: 3:15 Unlocks The Edge Speed The Edge: Fallout Class Allowed: Mudplugger Speed event Raingod Spires: Air Time Classes Allowed: Bike and Buggy 2 Lap Race Rank 7 races ------------ Caldera Ridge: Living on the Edge Class Allowed: Buggy 3 Lap Race Badlands: Leader of the Pack Class Allowed: Big Rig 2 Lap Race Target Time: 4:30 Unlocks Badlands Speed Badlands: Cold Sweats Class Allowed: ATV Speed Event Rank 8 races ------------ The Edge: Razor’s Edge Class Allowed: Rally Car and Racing Truck 3 Lap Race Raingod Spires: At The Limit Class Allowed: ATV and Rally Car 3 Lap Race Wreck Limit: 4 Unlocks Raingod Spires Eliminator Raingod Spires: This Might Sting Class Allowed: Rally Car Eliminator event ================= MSPR3C. Fire Zone ================= The Fire Zone can be found in the island’s volcanic lava fields. The Fire Zone is full of fiery racetracks with rocky wastelands and creeping sheets of lava. Organizers tried putting up ramps and flags but since it is off-road racing at its most brutal, there aren’t many crash barriers. There is also another dangerthat is present in the Fire Zone: open lava. Boosting near open lava will causeyou boost to heat faster, keeping you from maximizing the potential of your vehicle. Also, your vehicle may catch fire when you pass over open lava but should go away a little after you land. In some cases, your vehicle may be reset Rank 1 races ------------ Wildfire: Rapid Fire Classes Allowed: ATV, Buggy, Racing Truck, Big Rig 2 Lap Race Paradise Beach: Trail of Destruction Classes Allowed: ATV, Buggy, Racing Truck, Big Rig 2 Lap Race Rank 2 races ------------ The Rift: Cracked Up Class Allowed: Buggy 2 Lap Race Target Time: 3:50 Unlocks The Rift Speed The Rift: Pedal to the Floor Class Allowed: ATV Speed event Wildfire: Heavy Wait Classes Allowed: Racing Truck and Big Rig 2 Lap Race Wreck Limit: 3 Unlocks Wildfire Eliminator Wildfire: Seeking Refuge Classes Allowed: Buggy and Racing Truck Eliminator event Rank 3 races ------------ Scorched: Hot Under the Collar Classes Allowed: Bike, ATV, Rally Car 2 Lap Race Target Time: 4:00 Unlocks Scorched Speed Scorched: After Burner Class Allowed: Rally Car Speed event The Rift: Crack Down Class Allowed: Racing Truck Rank 4 races ------------ Paradise Beach: Ghost Town Classes Allowed: Buggy and Rally Car 2 Lap Race Wreck Limit: 2 Unlocks Paradise Beach Eliminator Paradise Beach: Smoulder Class Allowed: ATV Eliminator event Scorched: Out of the Frying Pan Classes Allowed: Racing Truck and Mudplugger 2 Lap Race Rank 5 races ------------ Paradise Beach: Obliteration Class Allowed: Big Rig 2 Lap Race The Rift: Fire in the Hole Class Allowed: Monster Truck 2 Lap Race Wreck Limit: 2 Unlocks The Rift Eliminator The Rift: Tunnel Run Class Allowed: Buggy Eliminator event Rank 6 races ------------ Scorched: Beat Down Class Allowed: Racing Truck 2 Lap Race Wreck Limit: 2 Unlocks Scorched Eliminator Scorched: Blaze of Glory Classes Allowed: Racing Truck, Mudplugger, and Monster Truck Eliminator event Wildfire: Nowhere to Hide Class Allowed: Buggy 2 Lap Race Rank 7 races ------------ Paradise Beach: The Heat is On Class Allowed: Rally Car 3 Lap Race Target Time: 4:20 Unlocks Paradise Beach Speed Paradise Beach: Aftermath Class Allowed: Monster Truck Speed event The Rift: Going Deep Class Allowed: Bike 3 Lap Race Rank 8 races ------------ Scorched: Ring of Fire Class Allowed: Bike 2 Lap Race Wildfire: Red Ring of Death Classes Allowed: Big Rig and Monster Truck 3 Lap Race Target Time: 4:40 Unlocks Wildfire Speed Wildfire: Hole in One Class Allowed: Mudplugger Speed event ================== MSPR3D. Race Types ================= There are a few types of races available in Pacific Rift. There are Races, Speed events, and Eliminator events Races ----- Races will be 2 laps around the course. The time of day will be different for each race which can be bad depending on how much of the course is shaded. You will race against 11-15 other drivers whose vehicle choice isn’t limited like yours. You may only be able to use a Buggy, but you may race against Bikes, ATV’s and Monster Trucks. Medals are awarded for first, second, and third, like most races. Speed ----- There are 16 Speed events, one for each track. Speed events become available after reaching Rank 2. To unlock Speed events, you will be given a race. While looking at the ticket for the event, in the upper-right corner will be a Target Time. You need to beat the Target Time and finish in the Top 3 to unlock the Speed event. For Speed events, you will be given a vehicle class to use. Speed events are basically checkpoint races. You will have so much time to get to the checkpoints and time will be added on for passing through the checkpoints. Earning a medal in Speed events is different than earning one in a race.
