In a recent interview with GameSpot, Capcom community manager Seth Killian discusses a number of intricacies which could make Marvel vs. Capcom 3 the best of the series.

Killian speaks about Capcom’s commitment to diversifying the fighting for a less uniform experience, and assures us that there will be more characters and more than a few surprises:

“Part of the hallmark of the series is to do a little bit of obscure characters as well, it’s not all superstars. We do a little bit of surprise like ‘I can’t believe they put this one in the games!’â€

He also discusses Wolverine’s uber-cool twin X-23 who, true to comic form, will befaster and more agile than Logan. He refused, however, to pin down a specific figure of how many characters can be expected beyond “a significant number.â€

Killian also explains Simple Mode, which is designed to attract gamers with less experience by requiring fewer buttons for combos and super moves.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is expected to be released in spring 2011. We'll be absorbing every tidbit ofinformation until then.
