Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation DLC coming to PS3 on June 10

PlayStation 3 owners have gotten the short end of the analogue stick for some time now with the lengthy downtime for the PSN and PlayStation Store – not to mention the approximately 77 million users whose personal information was exposed. But things are looking up for Call of Duty fans, who can look forward to the release of the CoD: Black Ops Escalation DLC on June 10. For those keeping score, Xbox 360 owners got the DLC back in early May.

The Escalation DLC introduces four new multiplayer maps: Hotel, Convoy, Zoo and Stockpile. It also introduces Call of the Dead, a special zombie map starring George Romero, Robert Englund, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michael Rooker, and (our personal favorite) Danny Trejo. To celebrate the launch of Escalation on the PlayStation 3, Treyarch will host another Double XP weekend on June 10.

@ThatKidVic $40 is currently being offered to people who have that Gamestop card. If you don't have that card, you'll get $25 (I believe).

I HATE the fact that this 'timed' release for the DLC is going on. Black Ops is the NUMBER 1 PSN online game, and is generating as much money as the 360 verson. This bull@#it over 360 getting stuff first is old and tired.

Wow 40 bucks, thats sweet i'm gonna go see if I can get a pretty good amount for my copy. I had gotten the prestige edition so I'll feel ripped of either way lol

I got $40 for Blops, wasn't expecting that much from Gamestop. COD4 is only $13, but I haven't bought it yet. I'm looking around to see if there's anything else I like more, but damn does it feel good to have that game off my shoulders.

That doesn't really make sense. If the game is still selling strong then why would you lower the price?

I wonder if my copy of Black Ops will sell enough to buy COD4 on 360. I have it on PC, but my PC internet lags so much I never game online with it. On 360, I could relive the days when this was original and pretty well balanced. Well, I plan on selling Blops tomorrow, so I'll have to see.

Too bad I still haven't gotten ahold of Black Ops yet, and am going to have to pay out the ass more just to get my hands on its extra zombie maps... Ah well, guess I'll have to stick to Der Riese and such in World at War for the time being. But seriously, if Black Ops is the best selling game in the history of forever (or whatever Activision's claim was), why the hell hasn't it come down in price a sizable chunk? Or am I just looking in the wrong places?
