Bethesda teases new game with mysterious videos

Bethesda has begun teasing what is presumably a new game via a series of mysterious videos posted on Vine. The short teasers, which are viewable below, feature images including a spinning record, burning flowers and what appears to be a male figure whose head is obscured.

Pete Hines, the company’s VP of marketing and PR, appeared to shoot down suggestions that it’s a Fallout game in a post on Twitter, although we wouldn’t expect him to say anything different ahead of an official announcement. Other possibilities include a new Wolfenstein title, Prey 2, or the debut release from Resident Evil and Vanquish creator Shinji Mikami's studio, Tango Gameworks, which was acquired by Bethesda in 2010.

Bethesda said earlier this week that the team behind Skyrim is moving on to its next major project after more than 16 months of post-release support, although it gave no indication of what that title will be.

Is Guillermo del Toro's Insane still looking for a develepor? Maybe this is Bethesda revealing they are the developers. Probably not but maybe.

Barb wire + Notes + A creepy guy in the background + Violence against flowers = An Ameisa custom story (lol)

Sorry to do this, but; "Bethesda has yet to confirm the identify of...". I'm pretty sure it's intended to read "the identity of...".

Lol no bullshit. one slide on the first one says "g string"

I saw that too. I figured out that the record is actually Johann Sebastian Bachs Orchestral suit no. 3. So when it says g string, its talking about a stringed instrument. haha

its a record spinning its air on the g string by J.S.bach

why? just... why? (I'd like to bunch Bethesda in the face, maybe twice)

I'd like to PUNCH Bethesda in the face too!

I still think its Prey. But that is a long shot. Would love a new series.

So if the team behind skyrim is moving on to the next project, does that mean they are starting that project from scratch or does it mean they're working on the development stage after an unspecified pre-dev time? It's sure as hell nothing TES related judging from the spinning record and barbwire, so I'm really curious as to what it'll be if it's not fallout. Are ya'll going to dissect this like you've done in the past with call of duty trailers? I want to know what the still shots of that print in the top video will show.

This is about Bethesda the publisher, not Bethesda Game Studios. Whatever this is teasing, it's probably not a project from the Elder Scrolls/Fallout 3 developers.

    Ah. Well I'm stumped then.

It is true that it was announced that Bethesda had "big announcements as a 'publisher' this year", if I remember the quote correctly, however, I don't understand why they'd need to take their Skyrim development team off of Skyrim to work on this project, if it is just a project that they are publishing. Surely they have separate publishing/developing teams. I'm still hoping it's something new in the Fallout series, however, that second video with the first doesn't really say "Fallout" to me.
