A marketing image posted on EA's Origin PC download service has the internet in a mild tizzy today as it offered pre-order customers of Medal of Honor: Warfighter, a free invitation to the Battlefield 4 beta. Which is interesting because Battlefield 4 hasn't been announced yet.
We're not ready to say this is 100% confirmed yet, as the only source is still just a posting on NeoGAF. The listing on Origin was pulled down too quickly for many other people to have seen it in time. We'll have to wait a bit to find out whether this was an official announcement or not.
And before you get too worked up, the reason the image says "$69.99" is because the beta offer only comes with the "Digital Deluxe" version of MOH: Warfighter. The vanilla $59.99 version will still be around, but will not net you any BF4 action.
Since they're only beginning to talk about offering access to the BF4 beta, we're reasonably sure this wont hit earlier than late 2013, which would be two years after Battlefield 3. That may be too soon for Battlefield fans that are used to 5-7 year waits between titles, but this is the pace that EA is going to need to strike if they're going to keep up with Activision and Call of Duty in the shooter market.
