Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?! announced for 3DS and DS

Brought to you by D3 Publisher and developed by WayForward Technologies comes the first ever video game iteration of the hit tv show Adventure Time. Dubbed, Adventure Time: Hey Ice King Why'd You Steal Our Garbage!? the game will allow players to control both Finn and Jake in an action/adventure game as they try to figure out, well, why the ice king stole their garbage.

“The rich and diverse characters in the Adventure Time world are absolutely perfect for a video game franchise and working with D3Publisher,WayForward and Pendelton Ward, we have a great team in place to bring it to life,” said Pete Yoder of Cartoon Network. “This game will provide the Land of Ooo experience that young fans will love.”

Adventure Time is currently set for Fall 2012. According to the press release, Adventure Time is the number one show for kids aged 6-11 on Mondays, and has been nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Short-Format Animated Program.

Finally, a game that can dethrone "Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman, What Did I Do To Deserve This?" in the category of most ridiculous non-sense title.

I dont have a 3ds or have any personal attachment to it so I am simply speaking my thoughts on the matter. I also have not been tracking the sales numbers of the games, but if you say they have not been selling well I will take your word for it. Companies need to show their stock holders and board of directors they can make money, if they are making MORE money with cartoon/childish games then they will probably tend to focus on those, espeacially when they are not doing well in general. If the machine becomes a machine for children it is because the market has made it so, they need to get to the revenue stream, and if that can only happen through the wallets of parents whose children want cartoon games, I am sorry to say for you that's how it will be my friend. GIM 4 lyfe!

Eh, I like Adventure Time, but game tie-ins don't seem to work too well with cartoons/tv shows too often...

NICE, great to see a 3DS port, just by the title and the artwork it looks to really go by the series. They may say its good for 6-11 but we all know thats not true, Adventure Time caters to those older as well or atleast we think so.

I really, really hope they don't mess this up. If they can make my favorite show into one of my favorite games, I will be willing to throw money at them.
