They should create a Call of Duty which tasks the player with storming Infinity Ward's heathen pit and taking out those infidels with some needlessly-overpowered automatic weapons.

A realistic sci-fi Call of Duty actually does sound promising. Technology that might exist someday is a lot more interesting than purple plastic plasma pistols, and the moons and planets of our own solar system make more interesting settings than another earthlike world. Missions could include an aerostat city in Saturn's atmosphere, a prison colony on Titan, or a research submarine in Europa's ocean.

I like the Civil war one, the idea has potential. The idea that John Wilkes Booth could be a cover story, and that Lincoln had to be assassinated for government safety or some other convoluted crap. I would buy that game.

This was possibly the most Dave Meikleham article I've ever read (in a good way).

@JMAN1156 I'm not so sure that you'd want that, particularly if they tried to be accurate with the weapons. A Civil War rifle/musket/rifled musket did take a good 20 seconds to reload at minimum after all. Officers often had revolvers, but they jammed up all the time and were wildly inaccurate. Can you imagine multiplayer? A couple of shots, followed by everyone giving up on reloading and just trying to stab each other with their bayonets. Actually, that might be rather hilarious to see the ADD FPS crowd go crazy playing something like that...

CoD Civil War actually sounds really good. I want a company to make a good first person Civil War era shooter. Also, have you guys seen the Modern Warfare 3 report from the Onion?

One soldier's red and the other's blue, when you play Modern Warfare Party Cruise. It's all about, the perks you abuse when you play Modern Warfare Party Cruise.

  • wiitard07 - January 10, 2011 1:03 p.m.

Haha cool. Although explaining the story of Ghost makes a little less sense then Capn Price's story. FIRST (probably)
