It turns out there's only one game for you when it comes to the Game of the Year. The Witcher 3 from CD Projekt Red has ridden away triumphantly with the much coveted Ultimate Game of the Year award at the Golden Joystick Awards 2015.
It's been a hell of a year for The Witcher 3 with 16 free packs of DLC and now the huge Hearts of Stone and next year's Blood And Wine. Plus, that wasn't even it when it came to the awards for Geralt and his trusty steed. CD Projekt Red is also going home with the awards for Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design and Best Gaming Moment for the Bloody Baron quest. Quite the Halloween haul. Maybe it's the name?
Taking second and third place for Ultimate Game of the Year is Batman Arkham Knight and episodic delight Life Is Strange. Given the competition that included Destiny, Bloodborne and Metal Gear Solid 5, it's been a seriously strong year in terms of gaming big hitters.
