Major US videogame retailer GameStop has added Pilotwings on Wii to its listings, fueling speculation that the game's in the works.
With retailers frequently given the heads-up on game releases, it's not unheard of for some dates to slip out through these listings, and GameStop does admit on the page that "Official pricing and release dates have not been announced by the publisher. Price and release date listed are estimates only and subject to change," it says.
We'd say it's certain to change, given the site pencils the game down for a December 31, which is unlikely in our book.
Regardless, we adored the N64 game (and the SNES one was stunning too), so we'll leap at any indication that a Wii sequel is on the way.
We'll be keeping an eye out for it at E3 next month.
