Film4 and German company Razor Films will produce a futuristic drama about the efforts to overcome death by genetic manipulation called Womb. It’s the first English language film from Hungarian helmer Benedek Fliegauf, says Variety .

Earth Versus the Moon
Universal has won a bidding war for a script called Earth Vs Moon, according to The Hollywood Reporter . Although few plot details are known, it's expected to be a big SF blockbusters. The lucky writers who nabbed to high six-figure pay deal are Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, whose previous credits include creating the Joe Schmo Show. Reese also worked on Monsters Inc.

Lost on the Fringe
Lost executive producer Jeff Pinker has now moved over to JJ Abrams’s new SF series, Fringe, says The Hollywood Reporter .

Battlestar Blasts Back
The fourth and final series of Battlestar Galactica returned to the US Sci Fi channel last week with impressive viewing figures (for the US Sci Fi channel, anyway). It nabbed 2.1 million viewers according to SyFy Portal .
