Proving to be yet another franchise that can survive lead-swapping and critical bombardment, the Underworld series will spawn its fourth entry in 2011.
Jumping like a spry Kate Beckinsale (though no word if she'll be in this one) on the 3D bandwagon, Screen Gems has also announced that the new film will be shot in 3D.
So what do we know? Not much yet - there's no word on casting or who will be stepping behind the camera, but we bet the studio will be aiming to punch out another cheaper adventure - since the third film was made for $35 million.
And since they don't have a script written yet, it's impossible to guess if it'll act as another prequel, or whether we'll be back in the present-day Underworld universe.
