Uncharted sequel location revealed by treasure map?

Oak Island
Where: Nova Scotia, Canada
Status: Rumoured

People have been digging for 200 years at ‘The Money Pit’ – an underground network of elaborate shafts and tunnels believed to hide an immense pirate fortune - after a coded plaque thought to read ‘forty feet below, two million pounds are buried’ was found there in 1804. Several high-profile digs have taken place at the Money Pit; the area is now littered with new shafts and the site has claimed the lives of six people in accidents

Could it be a game?

An ancient plaque, immense treasure, an area littered with tunnels and the decaying remains of previous explorers. The description sounds like it was lifted straight out of Drake’s “my next adventure” book.

The winding tunnels would be a perfect way to show off the dynamic lighting effects we knowthe Naughty Dog team are capable of and the surrounding area is covered in lush greenery and blue seas.

Given that we already know Uncharted’s game engine can handle this sort of setting with ease, and that Oak Island is surrounded in so much mystery, this looks to be the prefect location.

James Jarvis
Executive Producer, GR Video

Hi I'm James or JJ if you like, I'll answer to both. I'm the Executive producer for GR video which means I've had at least a part in all the hot moving pictures you'll find on the site (even if that part was just saying, yes that's a good video). I also produce the Future Games Show and Golden Joystick Awards. Away from the office you'll either find me playing Fortnite, or walking my dog. I'm better at one than the other, I'll let you decide which.
