Only yesterday we saw that Hideo Kojima is now setting up is own indie studio and now Sony has confirmed that it will be working with the Metal Gear auteur. Kojima's contract with Konami ended yesterday and he's hasn't lost any time in setting up his own new Kojima Productions studio which will now be collaborating with PlayStation. It's no wonder Sony's Andrew House looks so excited. You can see Sony's full gleeful announcement below.
And yes, this means that Kojima's first post Metal Gear game will be a PS4 exclusive as confirmed by Geoff Keighley on Twitter. Here's everything we know about Kojima's new game so far.

The new Kojima Productions studio has a new skull-filled logo that Kojima says on Twitter "expresses the vision of 'aiming the new world with the latest technology and pioneering spirit.'"

There's also a fascinating piece of text on new official Kojima Productions site that professes us as 'Homo Ludens (Those who play)'. It starts with "From the moment we enter this world we instinctively invent ways to have ‘fun’ and share our inventions with those around us. We are not asked to do this, nor do we need reasons to create. It is simply who we are." Yep, it looks like things are going to get interesting, and PlayStation is along for the ride.
