PlayStation VR has more than 50 confirmed titles heading its way, but according to Sony CEO Kaz Hirai, that's just the half of it. During a CES 2016 interview, Hirai told the BBC that the upcoming peripheral has far more unannounced developer support.
"We have more than 200 developers signed up for the PlayStation VR program who are working on probably about 100 or more titles that will play on PlayStation VR, [which] is a testament to the kind of support we're getting on PlayStation VR," Hirai said. "So I think we have a lot of good support, and it will be a great product coming out later this year."
Sony still hasn't put a firm release date or price tag on the VR headset (and adorable little processing box) formerly known as Project Morpheus. Oculus announced a fairly steep price point for its Rift yesterday - hopefully Sony will capitalize on that by swooping in a few months later with a cheaper product and more games, like E3 2013 all over again. That said, Kaz Hirai can't fault Oculus too much for charging five-hundred ninety nine US dollars for its flagship product.
