If you've been to Google today you've probably noticed its latest doodle is a crusty-looking keyboard (go have a play). That's because Google is celebrating the 78th birthday of Robert Moog - the man who invented the Moog synthesizer, pioneered electronic music and consequently had an indelible influence on music and culture and the human spirit at large. He is a man worth celebrating and remembering (he died in 2005), so that's exactly what we're doing via the medium of quality video game music.
And the most appropriate track is, of course, 'Moog City' from the official Minecraft soundtrack: Minecraft - Volume Alpha by German artist C418. Click the player below and improve your day (or night) with some electronic sounds created with a Moog Voyager synthesizer:
Yep. A Moog synth can really sing with someone like C418 at the controls. If you enjoyed Moog City, you should definitely sample the rest of the soundtrack (and maybe even show some love and support by purchasing it) which features plenty more Moog-powered sweetness.
