At one point the Daytona USA series seemed dead, or at least the copyright didn’t belong to Sega anymore, but obviously things have changed. Now Sega is porting the arcade classic to XBLA and PSN, this time with online matches and the promise of improved graphics with less graphical draw in (we’re keeping the old graphics, as seeing the background pop-in is part of the quaint fun). Anyway, some new screens of the HD port hit the net today and we think they’re worth sharing, if only for the novelty of having “new” Daytona USA screens.

The game hits PSN October 25 for $9.99 and XBLA October 26 for 800 Microsoft Fun Bucks.
