See Natalie Dormer in Mass Effect Andromeda and catch the Game of Thrones Easter egg

Say hello to Dr Lexi T'Perro, or Natalie Dormer to use her Earth name. She's one of the early characters you'll meet in Mass Effect Andromeda as the ship's doctor, and the first bit of big name casting. You can take a look at her recording  lines in the video below, which also introduces the character - see if you can spot  a very sly Games of Thrones reference.

Missed it? Don't worry, it's well hidden. Around the 2 minute 22 second mark you can see a screen showing some of her dialogue, including this: "Sorry, that's the last book in the series. The author died b..."

That sounds awfully like a slightly dark joke at the expense of Game of Thrones author, George RR Martin. It's well known that the next book in the series, The Winds of Winter, has been long delayed (it might be this year if we're lucky). Martin has also famously outlined his future story plans to TV producers so they can finish the show, should he die before completing the books.

Given that Dormer played Margaery Tyrell in the TV show it's hard not to see that line as a grim joke at that situation. Although I wouldn't be surprised if it never makes it into the actual game - imagine if Martin actually died anywhere close to release...
