Major EA reveals expected at tonights new Xbox event

EA is expected to have a major presence at tonight’s Xbox 720 reveal event. The publisher, which was absent from February’s PS4 reveal event and said last week that it has no games in development for Wii U, has confirmed that it will reveal the next generation of FIFA at Microsoft’s show tonight. It also plans to debut its first UFC game today.

In February, CVG reported that EA was preparing to announce a key exclusivity agreement at Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox reveal event, and the rumour mill is currently in overdrive. It was suggested last month that the first game from Respawn Entertainment, an EA published sci-fi FPS thought to be called Titan, will be exclusive to Xbox 360 and the console’s successor.

Yesterday, the Battlefield Twitter account teased that “big announcements are coming soon,” while the EA Sports NBA Twitter account has returned to life over the past week to hint at an imminent announcement, having previously been inactive since last September.

EA rival Activision will also be showing off Call of Duty: Ghosts for the first time at tonight’s Xbox event.
