The Brass

30 Points
Silver Trophy
Achieve maximum rank.

The top rank that Phelps can reach is level 20.If you complete most street crime missions, as well as perform well during campaign cases, you should reach level 20 by the end of the game -or at least be pretty close. If you need an extra push to reach it, you can use free roam mode to gain extra experience by using landmark location discoveries, golden film reels, newly discovered cars, as well as finishing up the rest of the street crimes.

The City Of The Angels

80 Points
Gold Trophy
Reach 100% Game Complete.

To get 100% complete, you will need to finish all 21 campaign cases, all 40 street crime cases, find the 13 newspapers, all 50 golden film reels, all 30 landmark locations, and all 95 different vehicles. If you go into the case files from the main menu, you can see which newspapers you have gotten and missed by the newspaper icon beside the case name.A greyed out icon means you haven’t found it yet. The vehicle showroom will show you which vehicles you still need to find and red running man icons on the map will indicate any street crimes that are still left unresolved.

The Fighting Sixth

15 Points
Bronze Trophy
At the Bus Shooting, talk Felix Alvarro into giving up the Marines involved in the Coolridge heist.

Late in the game, you will get the case called "Manifest Destiny." When you head to the bus shooting and take out the gun man, you will then head street side to interview Felix Alvarro. When you do, ask “Informed of Coolridge Heist” and select Doubt and then ask “Motive for Shooting” and select Lie as your response, while using the Sniper's Pocketbook that you found on the gun man on the roof as your proof. Select those two responses and this achievement/trophy will pop.

The Hunch

30 Points
Silver Trophy
Use four intuition points in a single interview session, correctly branching each question.

There are a few places to nab this, but I was able to get it during the case, “The Fallen Idol” while interviewing Jessica Hamilton in the hospital. If you are lacking in intuition points, whenever you replay a case, you are automatically given 5 points to start with.Talk to Jessica and use a point on each question you ask her – starting from the first question the responses are Lie (use the underwear as proof), Lie (using the letter as proof), Doubt, and finally Truth for the last question about her abuse.Once all four questions are answered and you used intuition for each, the achievement/trophy is all yours.

The Long Arm Of The Law

30 Points
Silver Trophy
Complete all street crime cases.

There are a total of 40 Street crimes cases that are broken up between the 4 desks. If you miss any of them during the regular campaign, you can enter the Free Roam mode for each desk and look for the red running man symbol that indicates unsolved street crimes. The grey ones indicate already completed street crimes and the yellow ones indicate the active street crime. When all are completed on one desk, move to the next and so on, until all 40 are completed.

The Moose

15 Points
Bronze Trophy
Follow Candy Edwards without using cover or incognito, except when starting or picking up the tail.

During the case, “The Set Up,” you will be given the objective of following Candy Edwards. To get this reward, you simply need to not use incognito or going into cover.Keep your distance from Candy while following her and use walls and corners to stay out of her line of sight. You can let her get a good distance ahead of you, but don’t let her get too far. When the red dot that indicates her on the map starts flashing, you need to get closer. Sprint from wall to wall, doorways and behind objects, to stay hidden.Once she reaches her destination, you will get your goods.

The Plot Thickens

15 Points
Bronze Trophy
Find and solve an inspection puzzle.

There are a couple inspection puzzles throughout the game and they involve putting pieces together to form a clue. The first is during “The Driver’s Seat” case where you will need to inspect the InstaFlame heater at the side of the house. Once you put the simple puzzle back together, this achievement/trophy will pop.

The Shadow

15 Points
Bronze Trophy
Tail a suspect without being spotted, in a single case.

During the case, “The Fallen Idol,” you will be given the objective of following June Ballard as she heads to a restaurant. Tail her in your car, keeping your distance from her vehicle.Once you reach the restaurant, you will need to get out of the car and enter without her noticing.Enter and head to the left quickly and sit at the table with the newspaper.Go incognito with it and listen to her conversation.Once she leaves, the achievement/trophy is collected.

The Simple Art of Murder

15 Points
Bronze Trophy
Complete all cases on the Homicide desk.

Once you complete all the cases on the Homicide desk throughout the campaign, you will receive this.

The Straight Dope

15 Points
Bronze Trophy
Use evidence to prove a lie as an LAPD Detective or Investigator.

This can be done many, many times throughout the game.Basically all you need to do is have a piece of evidence to prove that someone is lying. When you choose Lie as a response, the suspect will always ask you to prove it.Do so, and get this easy achievement/trophy out of the way.
