Guillermo del Toro and Charlie Hunnam talk ghost story Crimson Peak

Pacific Rim sees Sons Of Anarchy actor Charlie Hunnam team up with director Guillermo del Toro for some huge-scale robots vs monsters smackdowns.

Hunnam plays Raleigh Becket, a human who pilots one of the skyscraper-sized Jaegers (robots) in the fight against the city-decimating Kaiju (monsters). In terms of spectacle and action, the film’s as big as summer blockbusters come.

However, for del Toro and Hunnam’s next collaboration, they’ll be working at the completely opposite end of the size spectrum. Crimson Peak is a gothic ghost story in the classical tradition.

When we met up with the pair to chat Pacific Rim , we couldn’t resist asking them about their next project.

Watch our video interview below to see what the pair had to say about Crimson Peak :

Pacific Rim opens in the UK on 12 July 2013, with Crimson Peak expected to open in 2015.
