The disposable zombies shambling about the open world of Dying Light will never make it through a full day undisturbed, not with a major addition to the game coming on February 9, 2016. That’s also the release date of Techland’s bigger-than-expected expansion, The Following, which includes co-op gameplay and customizable buggies. Below you'll see eleven minutes of footage that show off the co-op in action and some vehicle chaos that's almost as fun as the lawnmower in Plants vs. Zombies.
The Following will be included with the ‘Enhanced Edition’ of Dying Light, which revisits the base game over a year after it first launched on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The update, coming to the same platforms and available for free to existing owners of Dying Light, will insert new first-person parkour moves, more animations throughout the game, enhanced AI (but, you know, perhaps not too enhanced for the brain-craving folk), a ‘nightmare’ difficulty mode and ‘enhanced facial expressions,’ which is something I once had to pay a doctor a lot of money for. *alarming, inhumanly intense smile*
The full punctuation-packed collection of the updated game and all existing DLC, ‘Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition,’ will cost $60 online and at retail for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. If you’re getting in on the expansion only, it’ll be $19.99 / £15.99 - and if you’re quick and certain you want more of Techland’s climb-and-clobber zombie game, The Following is still available at a lower price of $15 until Dec. 8.
