Destroy your friends with the all powerful hand of the Dungeon Master

Paradox Interactive introduced us to their player vs player Dungeon Master mode during their recent games showcase for their action, RTS hybrid, Dungeonland. In Dungeon Master, three player-controlled, hero characters attempt to complete a dungeon level while the fourth player attempts to defeat them using a variety of enemy units, magic abilities, and special items. We had a chance to walk through a full multiplayer level with one of the developers as he tried to defend his dungeon from the opposing players' heroes. Check it out in the video below.

The hero characters feel similar to playing Diablo. You'll have to pummel enemies with standard attacks, strategically use special abilities like healing and area-of-effect attacks, and make your way to the level boss at the end of the dungeon. The three classes compliment each other in skills with the standard healing mage, tanking warrior, and damage-dealing thief trifecta that are found in RPG titles. The Dungeon Master can literally throw a horde of orks at your crew at any moment, so close teamwork is essential to making it through alive.
