Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is moving from February to Augmentust. Developer Eidos Montreal revealed on the game's official site that the continued adventures of cyborg super soldier Adam Jensen will need another half a year in development to satisfy the team.
"We’re confident and proud of the game so far," Eidos Montreal studio head David Anfossi said in the update. "However, as we are now playing through the game in full we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards."
Mankind Divided is now set for August 23, 2016, six months to the day after its original February 23 release date. All this makes Square Enix and Eidos' original plans to release the game four days early if enough people pre-ordered it seem even more ill-conceived. Fortunately, they nixed the whole "Augment your Pre-Order" scheme back in October.
