Se7en director's Halo 4 live-action launch trailer is light on severed heads in boxes, heavy on Jesus imagery

Halo 4's release date of November the 6th is looming over us like a big Jolly Green Giant space marine looms over a squeaky purple midget alien. And we all know what that means. Another Halo, another slightly over-serious live-action launch trailer. This one is a bit different though, given that a) it's been produced by Se7en and Fight Club director David Fincher, and b) it's a fair bit less pretentious than usual.

Pretty blunt stigmata imagery at 1:13 though. And that crucifiction pose in the opening and closing shots is fairly blatant too. Hmmm, what could they be getting at with this groundbreaking visual metaphor?
