BioWare and Ubisoft clean up at the 2nd Annual Canadian Videogame Awards

Among the night's top winners were BioWare Edmonton's Mass Effect 2, which took home trophies in the Game of the Year, Best Console Game, Best Game Design and Best Writing categories. Ubisoft Montreal's Assassin's Creed Brotherhood fared second-best with awards for Best Visual Arts and Best Audio.

Other stand-out award recipients include Hothead Games's Deathspank, for Best Downloadable Game; United Front Games's ModNation Racers, for the Innovation Award; and XnEh?'s WOMP!, which was voted top place for Best Student Game.
