We couldn’t be more excited a sequel to Transformers: War for Cybertron is at last seeing the light of day. When it was finally announced, we hadn’t been that happy since Optimus Prime’s most recent resurrection. Now we have our first real footage of the game, and while it might be a little too dramatic in its coloring, we can’t fault a video with Dinobots.
Things appear pretty dire on Cybertron, which isn’t surprising as War for Cybertron ended with the Autobots planning their escape from the crumbling world via a familiar looking spacecraft. Of course, just because that ship looked like the one from the first episode of the 80s cartoon doesn’t mean these games take place in the same universe, as G1 Transformers fans will note that Dinobots like Grimlock from the end of the vid weren’t created until after the Transformers woke up on earth. That means this new timeline is unpredictable, just the way we like it. But what other Transformers do you hope get remade in Fall of Cybertron? Hot Rod? The Insectictons? Wheelie? (We’re joking about that last one.)
