Dead Zone Dead
Not happy with giving The 4400 the chop, the USA Network has also swung the axe on The Dead Zone, according to TV Guide’s Ausiello Report . Ausiello has got hold of a statement from USA’s Jeff Wachtel, Exec VP Original Programming, saying: "It's with great sadness that we say goodbye to two shows that had a great run and helped create the resurgence of original programming on our network and on all of cable."

To be honest, while we'll miss The 4400, because it still had some mileage left in it, The Dead Zone’s sixth (and now final) series was a pretty lame affair. Instead of wondering whether Johnny will ever prevent the apocalypse, you can’t help being thankful that we won’t have to watch the writers straining to stretch the plot out any further. It’s a shame a once great show couldn’t go out on a high.
