Synopsis Maia and Diana are visited by a woman who claims to be Maia’s sister, Sarah. Cautious, Diana requests a DNA test. The results come back negative but it’s too late – Maia’s abducted! She’s brought to a house where some other returnee children are being held captive and it transpires that she’s been brought back to the future. Sarah says the plan has failed and the catastrophe has still happened, so to fix it, Maia is going to be returned to a different point in time, changing the present as we know it.
Learning that Shawn donated money from Lily’s charity to the Nova group, Richard and Matthew suggest that Richard steps in to help Shawn run the centre. Matthew encourages Isabelle to “push Shawn in the right direction” but Isabelle, who seems to be growing conscious of her power, rebels against him.

Review Dramatically this is a big improvement over the last two episodes, although it’s quite predictable – Alice Krige plays evil women too well for us to believe she’s really Maia’s sister. Why couldn’t Maia have seen that she wasn’t who she said she was, though? Her power has apparently sharpened since coming off the promicin inhibitor. Still, Conchita Campbell is always a pleasure to watch as Maia, and the scene with the returnee kids really shows just how superior her acting skills are – the other child actors are all sorts of rubbish by comparison.
Dialogue Marco: (having read Maia’s diaries) “I did find out how I’m going to die. Yeah, that was interesting. Don’t worry, it’s actually kinda cool.”
