For this week's Pokemusings giveaway, we're giving away not one...not two, but three Pokemon! They're fantastic blasts from the past - the Kanto starters from the original Pokemon game! That's right, one lucky winner will be receiving the triumvirate of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. Best of all, we've given these hatchlings some excellent attacks through breeding. They'll be useful right away.
Our adorable female Squirtle is already armed with surf. This move is requisite for beating the game and is also a powerful special attack. Our male Bulbasaur is ready to take down its foes with SolarBeam, one of the most powerful grass-type special-attacks. As an added bonus, this Bulbasaur comes infected with the Pokerus virus. While that might sound like a bad thing, it's actually quite helpful. A Pokemon with Pokerus earns double effort-value points, which help it reach its full potential faster as you level up. For advanced players, it also makes manipulating your Pokemon's stats much faster. A Pokemon has a limited time to spread the virus if it's in your party, so infect some of your scrub Pokemon and keep them on your PC for future outbreaks.
