I've covered big Aussie sales events for Gamesradar for at least five years now, so I've kept a close eye on the Amazon Big Smile sale. The sale kicked off on Monday and runs until March 22. My early verdict is that—at least for Australian customers—it's not a great sale for consoles, but it's proving pretty decent (but also not great) for games.
I guess that's to be expected: this is not a sale that matches the scale of something like Black Friday, Boxing Day, or even Amazon's own Prime Day. Still, there are some deep cut delicacies to be had, so long as you're not expecting to find big Sony first-party games for less than, say, AU$69.
I've played hundreds of PS5 games, mostly by dint of being a former editor of PLAY Australia magazine. I've selected nine of the best PS5 game discounts in the Amazon Big Smile sale, and while a lot of them are obvious—Elden Ring and Split Fiction, anyone?—I've also included some relative obscurities that I really liked. My only criteria was: do I love it, and is it less than AU$60?
For more Amazon Big Smile sale deals, I'm collecting them all on this page, including Nintendo Switch 2 games.

Shaun is the Australian editor and news writer for our sister site, PC Gamer, but he occasionally dabbles on GamesRadar too. He mostly plays platformers and RPGs, and keeps a close eye on anything of particular interest to antipodean audiences. He (rather obsessively) tracks the movements of the Doom modding community, too.
